2x12 “Army of Ghosts”
Grade: A

Rose Tyler: Planet Earth. This is where I was born. And this is where I died. For the first nineteen years of my life nothing happened. Nothing at all. Not ever. And then I met a man called The Doctor. A man who could change his face. And he took me away from home in his magical machine. He showed me the whole of time and space. I thought it would never end. That's what I thought. But then came the Army of Ghosts, then came Torchwood and the war. And that's when it all ended. This is the story of how I died.

I love the whole fairy tale feel of the Rose’s opening lines.Collapse )

Rose: [straight-faced] Oh, if you think there's gonna be trouble, we could always go back inside, and go somewhere else...
[Rose cracks up, and they laugh outrageously]

For how should man die better than facing fearful odds for the ashes of his father and the temples of his gods?Collapse )

So after the last poll, I felt like doing another! I've finished my rewatch and review of series 1, so I thought it'd be a good idea to do a pool about series 1. Rate each episode of series 1 (I split up the two parters because I reviewed them separately when I did my reviews) on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being "I am never watching this episode again" and 10 being "this episode is brilliant and everything that is good about television and science fiction".

VOTE HERECollapse )
